Life in the Little Big City

Last summer I lost my mind and I wasn’t alone. It happens every year. The sun brings energy and warmth to the Northwest after months of cold dreary dark days and deep down inside you feel the sudden urge to pursue those dreams that have been soaking in your imagination all winter long. I quit my job and went searching up and down the west coast. Others in Southeast Portland, moved to New York or LA for a life of excitement that Portland doesn’t currently offer. While some even went even further and traveled to Southeast Asia and beyond. Most of us are back from our search for answers with new eyes conditioned to recognize the rhythm of the seasons that stretch us like a slingshot to opposite ends of the emotional spectrum... this year we are not going anywhere. Making this particular Portland summer something special.

The excitement of Southeast Portland during the summer has been keeping me away from my camera (and this blog). This is only natural. I had also spent the past couple months preparing for my mentor/uncle's 50th Surprise Birthday Party, which was a success!

Many people have been asking what projects I have been working on these days. So if you are lucky enough to be visiting my website and reading this blog, here is a look into a few upcoming events where you can expect to see my work:

-Put A Bird In It

-Slideluck

Eventually, photos taken with my camera and not my iPhone will make it back onto this site. While you wait, enjoy some photos of Southeast Portland taken with my iPhone.
